Michael Saphier was a founder of Saphier and Heller in 1986.  He represents physicians, medical groups, hospitals, imaging centers, clinics, medical spas, weight loss centers, outpatient surgery centers, and other providers and health care entities.  Mike’s practice focuses on a wide range of health care regulatory issues – including self-referral and anti-kickback laws, clinic licensing, corporate practice of medicine, fee-splitting, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, telemedicine, and similar issues – as well as corporate and health care business matters, including asset purchase agreements, professional corporation matters, physician partnerships, LLCs, management agreements, recruitment agreements, medical office leases, physician employment agreements, and consulting agreements.
Prior to the formation of Saphier and Heller in 1986, Michael Saphier was a partner in a 100+ lawyer law firm with a national health law practice, where Mike’s work was focused exclusively in the health care field.  Mike continues to conduct his practice virtually exclusively in the health law field.

Mike has been a speaker at numerous health care symposiums throughout the country. He received his J.D. degree cum laude from The University of Michigan Law School and his A.B. degree with distinction from the University of California at Berkeley.
