Billing Services Agreements

Saphier and Heller attorneys assist the firm's physician clients in connection with their contracts with billing services companies. We often find physicians sign these agreements without prior legal review or negotiation, simply accepting the billing company's standard form of agreement.

Important elements that often are missing from billing agreements are an adequate description of the company's responsibilities, a means of determining how good a job the billing company is doing, the right to early termination if the company's work is not satisfactory, and the ability to transition smoothly to a new billing company.
