Medical Group Projects
Medical group projects can be extremely varied, but we address here a few types of projects that we commonly undertake for our medical group clients.
We assist with start-up groups (professional corporations and partnerships), buy-in and buy-out issues, non-compete issues, compensation issues (e.g., productivity bonuses), shareholder agreements, and dissolution matters.
We also advise with respect to the structuring of ventures involving ancillary services, particularly with respect to Stark, anti-fraud and abuse, and related state laws. These projects sometimes take the form of joint ventures, and sometimes they may be “in-office ancillary services.”
Other types of projects in which we have provided assistance include the organization and structuring of related investment opportunities, such as investments in ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, MSOs, and medical office buildings.
