Managed Care Contracting
We advise our provider clients (hospitals, medical groups, and individual physicians) with respect to managed care agreements with federally qualified health maintenance organizations (HMOs), Knox-Keene plans, preferred provider organizations (PPOs), and other managed care organizations, and we assist with respect to payment and claims issues and other legal issues arising under such agreements, including both commercial and senior plans. Additionally, we provide our clients with advice regarding the requirements of federal and state statutes and regulations applicable to such agreements.
We also have drafted numerous contracts for IPA clients, including agreements between the IPA and primary care and specialist physician participants, respectively, and between the IPA and various third-party payers.
